  • The thought of losing is so scary... but it does make you cling tighter.

I love the last few posts - beautiful friends and family . And my first thought when I saw the pic of your mom and Addison was "Havah's mom is just beautiful!"

My brother, Steve, and Jeff have been rocking it on Guitar Hero II also - Steve got it for Christmas. I have yet to try it - they're such hogs.

  • Sad that it takes that for some people to know they love someone/thing.

  • One of my favorite lines from Sara Groves is found in her song, You Cannot Lose My Love... "You will lose your confidence. In times of trial, your common sense. You may lose your innocence,
But you cannot lose my love." That song is my heart for you [but even more, God's]. Love you.

  • That concept is a little deep for this time of day. But I don't think I agree.  The way to love is to love regardless of the possibility of loss--with pure abandon.  Because I think if I based my love on the thought that it might be lost, I would not love fully because of the possibility of pain.  That would be insecurity at it's highest level.  Maybe I'm rambling.  Maybe it's time to go home.

I do know I love my friend.

  • I get both the sentiment and Laura's comment.  Sometimes we think the object of our love is something we can hold onto forever...but really...nothing we can love (except Jesus) is truly "ours."  Not really.  Everything and everybody but Jesus is just "on loan" and is just "passing through" our lives.  Everything else but Jesus is a variable.  Like it or not.  That doesn't mean we can't truly love fully (the way I Corinthians 13 describes).

  • I love quotes! Especially ones that make you stop, think and change something about your thinking or life. Thank you for this great one.

  • sorry you were concerned today- all is well...well, you know..

    i love you too

  • Ouch, hard quote to swallow, but necessary.  Hope all is well with you.  Thinking of you.

  • ...what Vicki said!

    love you!!

  • Amen!

  • I'm not skipping around - just needed to read Revelation.

    I'm in 1 Chronicles.
