  • Running update...

Tonight I ran two miles straight.  Like the one mile mark, I realize that for some that is not a huge deal - however, for me - HUGE.  I am VERY proud of myself - previously when attempting to be this 'athletic', I quit early on - but I think this is going to stick, and am just as proud of myself for sticking with it as I am for running two miles.

    So there you go.

In other news, I got my Illinois license plates and drivers license today.  Believe it or not, it is the best picture I have ever had on a drivers license - one that I will be sad to replace...  Wendy was the 'go with' girl and took pictures of the event - see her site soon for pictures and a better story-telling version of the day.

All in all a pretty full day.

Tomorrow my sister in law is being induced, which means that hopefully by the end of the day I will an aunt again.  Pray for her and my brother if you happen to think of me/them.  I love newborns....and tomorrow by this time I will be holding one....

    ahhhhhhhhh

  • I have to tell you - you are my hero for running two miles. It's not that you actually ran the two miles - I know that lots of people can do that - but it's the fact that you didn't quit, and you stuck it out. I have always HATED running, and any time I try, I wimp out. It is encouraging to know that you made it through - and it gives me inspiration!! So thank you for that

My thoughts are with your brother, SIL, and the new baby!

  • I'm proud of you, girl.  Go, Havah.  Go, Havah!  You inspire me with all the challenges you are taking on and tackling.

I know what you mean about the driver's license picture.  I had a picture like that once in Arkansas.  I had a good friend with me that day, too.  I think taking a friend makes you smile more genuinely and helps you take a better picture.  Truly.

  • Oh yay for a new niece!! Can't wait to hear more details...

And serious props on the running. I know how hard that is... I really need to work my way up to running again. I used to run, but then marriage and 2 babies... um yeah, not so much right now. i'm sooooo out of shape. :(

  • wow...I don't think I ever even walked a mile in the given time limit in school....seriously. Never have been a runner...you go girl!!! I'm more of a swimmer / volleyballer / would love to ride horses regularly kinda girl. :) Kudos on the great photo..I agree with vickichicki, too on the girl friend going along. My best is currently in my passport. :D Praying for your bro. & sil...post pics soon.

  • Wow! 2 miles. I do not know of whom you speak when you say 2 miles is not a huge deal...yes it is. I'm so proud of you.  In other news, I may need to speak to you about this establishing residency thing.

  • Awesome!!  2 Miles!!!!  You should reward yourself!

  • Are you moving to Illlinois?

  • On behalf of the "I Hate Running Club," I salute you.  I dare say that not one of us has been as persistant as you!  Seriously, I am really proud of you Havah!  If I could just get out and walk that distance on a regular basis I'd feel highly acchomplished.  (Once I have Caleb as "stroller buddy" perhaps I will!)  Hey, do you remember when you would run at the Elm Springs Park and I'd play on the jungle gym or some other nonsense while you ran?  HA HA!  I will definately be praying for Ben and Brittany and the new little one!  BTW, I love you most!  :)

  • Awwwwww - babies. So snuggly and soft. Congrats to your brother and SIL - praying all goes well!!

AAAAND - way to go you!!!! That's awesome. My feet are itching to be as athletic as you. Seriously.

  • Yippee! Can't wait to hear about the day and the new addition to your family. I am so excited for you. Going back to school is the best. I just love it when I hear about people taking that step forward. It's something that can never be taken away from you. You and the families are in my prayers.
